Current and Recent Projects
Breast Cancer Detection using Impedance Spectroscopy.
NovaScan Inc. of Milwaukee Wisconsin is currently investigating the efficacy of impedance spectroscopy in the detection of early stage breast cancer. Voith Consulting, LLC has assisted this effort by developing electronic hardware and firmware used in laboratory and clinical devices. Click here for more information...
12 Lead ECG Simulator including simulated respiration and pace generation.
Voith Consulting is currently developing a USB controlled 12 lead ECG simulator which can generate simulated or pre-recorded ECG waveforms. In addition this simulator can generate arbitrary waveform respiration simulation in 2 channels (RA to any lead or RL to any lead) as well as vectored pace waveforms (up to 4 arbitrary pace waveforms).
Motion Tolerant Blood Pressure Measurement Suitable for Stress Testing.
Voith Consulting is currently developing a motion tolerant blood pressure measurement and display system which is particularly suited to providing accurate (and verifiable) blood pressure measurements during stress testing.
Past Projects
Test Fixture for Evaluating the Integrity of an Internal Gasket.
A local company needed a method to verify the integrity of an internal gasket seal on already assembled devices. Voith Consulting in conjunction with Prototype Techniques Inc. developed a system to enclose and mildly pressurize (to 20 mmHg) the device. By monitoring the pressure decay rate it is possible to infer the ability of the seal to restrict air flow. Click here for more information...
Atmospheric Wind Profiling Radar System.
Back in 1991 Astronautics Corp of America built a prototype Wind Profiler at their facility in Madison Wisconsin under the guidance of a couple of professors from the University of Wisconsin Madison (Verner Suomi and Bill Birkemeier). I was a member of the design team which fielded this (working) Wind Profiler. Click here for more information...
